“Blood in the Dust” turns One!🎉

So there I was, weeping into a pile of tissues the size of my head, editing book 4 and trying to figure out what to post about next week on socials, when something kind of…. snuck up on me.

This month marks one year since my debut novel, Blood in the Dust, came out.

A year.
I genuinely never thought I’d publish anything—and now I’m four books in.

🤯 Seriously, how did that happen?

They say that debut indie authors sell about 100 books in their first year in print.

Well, friends, Blood in the Dust has sold 101 copies so far - and it didn’t debut until the 18th of May, 2025!

Which means, obviously, I made the eBook free on as many platforms as I could for the entire month of May 2026, just to introduce Yip to as many people as possible.

Amazon wouldn’t let me make it free, because Amazon 🙄, but I made the price for the eBook there the lowest they would allow.

I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Where does the time go?

You’d think I’d be better at marketing by now… 😏

Anyway, since that blew my mind, I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks for coming on this journey with me.

Thanks for being here, one year later.

And keep an eye out for Book 4—Blood on the Skin. Should be out sometime this year.

Laters!
