Welcome to the Monster Encyclopedia!

My books all revolve around a hidden world called the Slipworld. It's where monsters come from, and where they go when we can't see them anymore.
I invented it because there are SO MANY great stories in folklore, but fantasy and - by extension - urban fantasy tend to focus only on the Eurocentric ones.

The trope "all the stories are true" typically means that whatever beasties are under discussion do, in fact, exist. But only just the one type. There are demons, werewolves, vampires, and sea monsters, but they all follow the same rules.

Have you SEEN how much variation there is in nature? Spoiler: There's a lot.

So, in the Slipworld, "all the stories are true" means what it says: ALL πŸ‘ THE πŸ‘ STORIES πŸ‘ ARE πŸ‘ TRUE πŸ‘
Every tale you've heard, every regional variation - they all exist here.

In "Blood in the Dust", you'll meet 3 different kinds of werewolf, and heat about maybe a dozen more!

So I’m building an encyclopedia of all the monsters you’ll meet in my books. Not just the first one - but the whole series. And the one after that. Because, yes, that’s already written!

Are you ready to come with me? I hope so!
