What is the Slipworld?
Once, there was only one world.
It was wild, tangled, full of shadows and wonders. It was the world you know — only older. A place where magic wasn’t legend or illusion, but part of everyday life.
Before we got too clever to believe in it.
Now, we tell ourselves there’s no such thing as magic. No monsters, no curses, no things that go bump in the night. That creak on the stairs? Just the cat. That flicker in the corner of your eye? Trick of the light.
If you say otherwise, you’re superstitious. Or a little weird.
But what if the reason we can’t catch magic on camera, or prove monsters in a lab, isn’t because they aren’t real — but because they aren’t here?
What if, back when witch-hunters and inquisitors were setting fires and sharpening stakes, the real magic-workers decided enough was enough? What if they tore open a seam in reality, created a world alongside ours — hidden, but always there?
A world you can only glimpse in the corner of your eye.
That’s the Slipworld. A refuge. A sanctuary.
A place where monsters are real. Where magic never died.
We just don’t see it — unless it wants us to.
